Our Activity Room, located just off our main entrance, hosts daily activities for residents. Activity Aides can also be found providing activities and different interaction within each neighborhood lounge. Arbor House Activity Calendars can be picked up at Arbor House’s front desk (1705 3rd Ave W).

Pastoral Care

BLNRC employs a full-time Chaplain to help meet residents’ spiritual needs. We realize the importance to our residents of staying connected to the people and places that have given them support and purpose throughout their lives. We encourage the continued connectiveness of our resident’s home church congregation and clergy through visitation, monthly newsletters and prayers. 

Pastor Sheldon Sorenson, an ordained pastor of the Southern Baptist Convention (SBC), provides pastoral care and visitation for residents, families and staff. As a part of his ministry, he also provides emergency pastoral care and hospice ministry.

Sunday morning worship services are held in the Chapel at 9:30 a.m. each Sunday morning, with Communion being held the first Sunday of each month. In addition, Catholic Mass is held each Thursday morning at 10:00 a.m. by a local priest, and residents are assisted by volunteers from St. Joseph's Catholic Church. An inspirational message and gospel music is also offered on Wednesday mornings at 10:00 a.m.
